In keeping with our commitment to optimising your experience, we recently installed a bank of temperature-controlled cabinets for red wine preservation, and pay careful attention to the temperature at which wine is served and the style of glass in which it is presented. A famous poet was once asked what three things he would take to a deserted island. He said, “Poetry, a beautiful, intelligent woman and enough bottles of the world’s finest wine to survive the dry period.”

He was then asked what he would leave behind if he could only take two and he briefly replied, “The poetry.”

Slightly surprised, the man asked, “And Sir, what would you leave behind if you could only take one?” The poet thought for a moment and then answered, “It depends on the vintage.”
